Cambodia: According to a report released on Monday by Cambodia's anti-drug police, three men were arrested for allegedly trafficking, storing, and processing approximately 25 kg of illicit substances.

The suspects, a 68-year-old Singaporean, a 27-year-old Vietnamese, and a 60-year-old Cambodian, were apprehended during a raid in Phnom Penh, Cambodia's capital city, on November 25. The trio was busted with 24 kilogrammes of ecstasy, 118 kilogrammes of ketamine, 170 kilogrammes of cathinone, and 1 kilogramme of components, according to the report, which also stated that a variety of drug manufacturing equipment and five scales were seized.

Drug dealers in the Southeast Asian country do not face the death penalty. According to the media reports, anyone found guilty of trafficking more than 80 grammes of illicit substances might face a life sentence. According to the anti-drug agency, officers detained 10,896 drug suspects in 4,969 cases around the country from January to October 2021, collecting nearly 1.33 tonnes of illicit drugs.
