Once Camera Mode is available on WhatsApp for iOS, go to the camera icon in the top-left corner of your account. You will be taken to the shooting location.

You have two options, Video and Photo, at the bottom, below the circular button. This is set to Photo by default. As a result, after converting to video, you can tap to start recording.

Camera mode is currently being worked on for iOS. It is speculated that WhatsApp will make it available to testers in a future update of the iOS beta app. All iOS users should be able to use the feature once the testing process is over.
