OTTAWA – Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau stated at a press conference on Monday that Canada will supply anti-tank weaponry and enhanced ammunition to Ukraine.

According to reports, Trudeau said, "We announced yesterday that we will be sending new shipments of military gear, including body armour, helmets, gas masks, and night-vision goggles."

"We're announcing today that we'll be supplying Ukraine with anti-tank weaponry and enhanced ammunition." According to Trudeau, the Canadian government intends to ban all Russian crude oil imports. This is on top of prior deployments to Ukraine of both lethal and non-lethal weaponry.

The Canadian government is also enforcing a number of restrictions against Russia, including barring Canadian financial institutions from transacting with the Russian Central Bank and blocking Russian planes from entering Canadian airspace.
