Amritsar: Former Punjab CM Amarinder Singh has been constantly attacking Congress. He had hit out at the Congress on September 22, 2021, saying that former Congress President Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra lacked experience. He has now vowed to field Punjab Congress President Navjot Singh Sidhu in the upcoming assembly elections. On the other hand, Congress on Thursday said that it is natural for elders to get angry, but he should know that there is no place for anger in politics.

However, the Congress' response seems to have further angered Amarinder Singh. Now Amarinder Singh has questioned whether there is a place for humiliation in a "big old party" like congress. In fact, Singh's reaction came after Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinate answered a question on Singh's displeasure, she told the press at AICC briefing that 'he is probably of my father's age. Elders get angry, get quite angry, and sometimes say a lot in anger. But we all respect their anger, their age and their experience. I hope he'll reconsider it.'

Shrinate said, 'Anger, jealousy has no place for personal comments. Feelings of vengeance have no place in politics. We hope he will be sensible and reconsider what he has said because he is a strong warrior of the Congress party. Such remarks do not suit his stature.' On another question, Shrinate said that people make decisions in politics, some for themselves. For your own interests and for some of your constituency's interests.
