Amritsar: Former Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh will lead a non-political delegation of agriculture experts to meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday to discuss possible solutions to the ongoing farmers' movement. Disclosing this, Amarinder Singh on Wednesday said he is already negotiating various options with the Home Minister and he will meet him again in Delhi on Thursday.

Amarinder Singh has said in a press conference, "I think I can help find a solution because I have been the CM of Punjab, I am also a farmer. He further said that though there cannot be a pre-determined formula for resolving the farmers' movement, something will come up during the talks itself as both sides - the Central Government - farmers - want a solution to the crisis arising out of agricultural laws.''

Clarifying that he had not met any farmer leader, Amarinder Singh said he did not deliberately interfere in the matter as the farmers did not want politicians to join. The former CM further said that the farmer leaders had four incomplete meetings with the Centre but talks are on through the backchannel (another route).
