Amritsar: The ongoing political riots in Punjab are not going to end. Former CM Amarinder Singh on Thursday made it clear that he will no longer be in the Congress party. Amarinder Singh has said that I have made my position clear that he will not be able to tolerate such insults, the way I have been treated is not right. However, he also said that he is not joining the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) right now.

In an interview to a TV channel, Captain Amarinder Singh said that the way the legislature party meeting was convened and I was informed on the spot, I had made it clear that I was stepping down. Amarinder Singh said that if no one trusts me, what is the use of my stay. Talking about Navjot Singh Sidhu, Captain Amarinder Singh said that he is not a team player, he needs a team player for the post of Punjab Congress chief.

Amarinder Singh admitted that the Congress' popularity in Punjab is declining and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) graph is going up. Captain Amarinder Singh said that Punjab elections will be very different this time, Congress-Akali Dal are already there and now Aam Aadmi Party is also holding on there.
