Chandigarh: Punjab CM Capt Amarinder Singh said that political interference in the poisonous liquor issue is not going to happen at all. He has issued an order to the DGP to register a case of murder under section 302 of the IPC against those directly involved in the issue, where the cabinet led by the captain kept silent for 2 minutes to pay tribute to the dead of this tragic incident.

According to the information received, in the midst of the cabinet meeting, several ministers agreed with Advocate General Atul Nanda's advice to issue strict laws like Punjab Control of Organized Crime Act (Pakoca) to overcome organized crime like illegal liquor smuggling. The CM has issued an order to the sub-committee formed under the leadership of Cabinet Minister Brahm Mohindra to examine the provisions of the proposed law.

End the business, clean the border area: In the poisonous liquor issue, CM Captain Amarinder gave an order to the police and the district administration that the matter should be resolved at the earliest, clean the border area. DGP Dinkar Gupta and Chief Secretary Vini Mahajan were present in this meeting held through video conferencing, deputy commissioners of Tarn Taran, Amritsar countryside, and Gurdaspur and district police chiefs and officials of Excise and Tax Department.
