Billboard made the latest announcement that they honor some major women personalities this year. In this announcement, Cardi B has been named Woman of the Year at the 2020 Billboard’s Women in Music event, which is gonna take place on Thursday, 10th December. 

As soon as the news went live, the WAP singer received a lot of backlash on social media. It's said that she’s only released one song in 2020, WAP alongside Megan Thee Stallion. Cardi B the clap back queen took it to social media saying to shut down those who criticized her recent win of Billboard’s Woman Of The Year award. In the video posted to her Instagram, Cardi listed the influence the song has had since its release and said “For you crybabies, that’s like ‘what? she only got one song’ – yeah I got that song, bitch." She also outlined everything from the past year specifically by working with politicians like Bernie Sanders and President-elect Joe Biden.

Billboard in the event also announced that Jennifer Lopez will be honored with the prestigious Icon Award for her influence on the music industry. Chloe x Halle will also receive the Rising Star Award Presented by Honda, and Jessie Reyez will be honored with the American Express Impact Award.
