The debate against France's Islamic extremism is becoming increasingly strong. There has been a strong reaction from Islamic countries regarding this. Protesters in Dhaka burnt effigies of French President Emmanuel Macron. He supported the cartoon published on the Prophet Mohammed in the French magazine Charley Hebdo. The protesters were heading towards the French Embassy in Dhaka but were stopped by the police.

Simultaneously, Emmanuel Macron defended French secularism and since then he has been the target of many Muslim-majority countries. In the beginning of this month, a teacher in France was beheaded with a cartoon published on Prophet Mohammad. While paying tribute to that teacher, Macron said that he would not bow down to the cartoon case. On Monday, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan also urged a boycott of French goods.

In his televised speech, Erdogan had said, "The way the Jews were being targeted after the second world war, the campaign against Muslims is going on. The leaders of Europe should ask the President of France to stop the hateful campaign." These demonstrations are increasing day by day, as well as efforts are being made to control it.
