Lucknow: BJP MP from Unnao in Uttar Pradesh Sakshi Maharaj has been threatened with death. A case of the use of abusive language and threatening to kill has come to light on the mobile phone. Maulana Hasnain has lodged a complaint in Safipur Kotwali. A case under serious sections has been registered against 4 people including Sagir living in Dubai. The accused father and son are residents of Safipur town. Safipur police have registered a case and started an investigation.

According to MP Sakshi Maharaj, he received several calls from an unknown number last Saturday evening. When he picked up the phone, the other person rudely threatened to kill him with the bomb. The man also said that he would destroy them along with his offspring. MP Sakshi Maharaj informed Superintendent of Police Avinash Pandey. Sakshi Maharaj, who has often made headlines for her statements, has received such threats several times in the past.

In June this year, a case of cheating with MP Sakshi Maharaj came to light. Two fraudsters had withdrawn Rs 97,500 from his bank accounts by putting up fake cheques. The miscreants had also put up a third cheque but could not withdraw the money. Police had arrested two accused from Bihar in the case.
