Mumbai: Police have registered a case against eight people for dancing with a picture of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb in Maharashtra's Washim district. On Sunday (January 15) night, the video of the dance went viral in the district. After which Hindu organizations started protesting. According to the report, a sandal procession of Dada Hayat Qalandar Sahib was taken out on the night of January 14 at Mangrulpir in the district. Two large photographs were waved in the crowd of dancers in Sandal, one of which was of Tipu Sultan and the other photo was of Aurangzeb.

After the video went viral on social media, Mangrulpir police registered a case against 8 people. However, no culprit has been arrested yet. In protest against the incident, a local Hindu organization in the city burnt an effigy of Aurangzeb. A police force has been deployed at various places in the city to avoid a tense situation. At the moment, peace prevails in the town.

Let me tell you, earlier a new controversy arose in Maharashtra last week about Aurangzeb. In fact, Sharad Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) MLA and former state minister Jitendra Awhad had said that Aurangzeb was cruel, but not anti-Hindu. Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj was brought to Bahadurgarh where his eyes were removed. Near the Bahadurgarh Fort, there was also a Vishnu temple. If Aurangzeb was anti-Hindu, he would have demolished that temple as well.

NCP leader Awhad was trying to defend the remarks made by Leader of Opposition Ajit Pawar on Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. Let us inform you that NCP leader Ajit Pawar had said in the state assembly that the Maratha king (Sambhaji Maharaj) had never supported religion in his life. The BJP government was infuriated by Pawar's statement and termed it an insult to Sambhaji Maharaj. CM Eknath Shinde had said that NCP is glorifying Aurangzeb while disparaging Sambhaji Maharaj. He said that Aurangzeb had demolished many temples in Maharashtra and tortured women a lot.

Atrocities of Aurangzeb on Indians:

Tell that, Aurangzeb's letters written to his generals to break the temples are still kept in the country's museums. It was Aurangzeb who imposed the Jizya tax on Hindus, which non-Muslims have to pay in order to survive under Islamic rule. Not only this, Aurangzeb himself tells his grandson Bidar Bakht at one place that, 'Satara village near Aurangabad was the place of my hunting, yes there was a temple with the image of Khanderai on the mountain. By the grace of Allah, I demolished it.' This Aurangzeb had got Guru Teg Bahadur's head beheaded for not accepting Islam. Bhai Matidas should be cut into two parts with a saw, Bhai Satidas should be wrapped in cotton and burnt alive, Guru Gobind Singh's sons should be walled up alive, Chhatrapati Shivaji's son Shambhaji Maharaj's eyes should be gouged out, tongue should be cut, inch by inch he should be cut, and telling them to accept Islam. All these are just a few stories of the atrocities of the tyrant Aurangzeb. History is full of stories of his cruelty and religious terrorism which he did on Indians in the name of Islam.
