NEW DELHI: Congress leaders have sparked outrage over BJP Rajya Sabha MP Subramanian Swamy after he made a controversial remark on former Congress President Rahul Gandhi. He is accused of making false rhetoric against Rahul Gandhi. Congressmen say Subramanian Swamy has no right to despise Rahul Gandhi and make such rhetoric against him. The Chhattisgarh Congress Unit General Secretary PL Punia has also lodged an FIR against Swami over his rhetoric on Rahul Gandhi.

PL Punia recently said, "We have lodged an FIR against Subramanian Swamy in Barabanki district in Barabanki Kotwali Nagar. The Congressmen are furious and in many places, Rahul Gandhi's supporters have taken to the streets against Subramanian Swamy.

On the other hand, questioning the state's police functioning in Chhattisgarh, BJP leader Subramanian Swamy tweeted, "I am surprised that the Chhattisgarh Police has lodged an FIR against me saying that Rahul Gandhi's cocaine is a "cocaine." The take statement has angered Congress. The FIR is silly because the police did not even conduct Rahul Gandhi's dope test for verification," he said.
