Guna: Officials demolished an illegally built house belonging to a man accused of raping and torturing a woman for a month in Madhya Pradesh's Guna on Sunday.

The accused, Ayan Pathan, allegedly held a 23-year-old woman hostage, who was his neighbor, and tortured her for a month. According to the police, the two were in a relationship for some time.

Ayan, a laborer by profession, reportedly coveted the woman's property, which was under her mother's name. When she refused to hand over the property, he allegedly assaulted her, forced chilli powder into her eyes and mouth, and even sealed her mouth with adhesive. Additionally, he physically abused the woman several times with the help of his relatives.

After the woman was admitted to a hospital with severe injuries and filed a complaint, Ayan was arrested.

Officials discovered that Ayan's house was built on government land using forged documents, leading to its demolition.
