EC asks Chief Secretary to answer on case of use of black money in elections

Bhopal: Ahead of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Madhya Pradesh continues to clamp down on money transactions after income tax raids. In this case, the Union Election Commission has promptly summoned the Chief Secretary and Additional Chief Secretary (home) of the state.

Union Election Commission Deputy Election Commissioner Chandra Bhushan Kumar has directed the state government's Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains and Additional Chief Secretary of the Home Department Dr Rajesh Rajura to visit Delhi seeking a reply. In a letter to the Chief Secretary written by the Election Commission, it has become clear that in the meeting to be held in Delhi on 5th January at 11 am, both the officials will be asked on the report of the Central Board of Direct taxes and will also be asked what further action will be taken in the matter.

While the election Commission's letter has accelerated the activism of the state Government, CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan has also been given full information of the matter with the facts of the Apprenticeship report by the Chief Secretary. On the other hand, the Deputy Election Commissioner has also given information to the State Election Commission.
