In this case, a cat was kept in jail due to a serious crime but now it has escaped from jail. This case is being reported from Sri Lanka. According to a report surfaced, the cat was being used in the smuggling of drugs and SIM cards.

The intelligence officers of Sri Lankan High-Security Velikada Jail got information about this on Saturday. He came to know that suspicious activity is being done through the cat. A local police officer says that 2 grams of heroin, 2 SIM cards, and a memory chip were recovered from the cat. In this case, the police say that a packet was tied around the cat's neck, and all the items were kept in it. Not only this but in a local newspaper Aruna, it has been told that the cat has escaped from the jail room on Sunday.

Sri Lanka is troubled by the serious drug problem. Recently, incidents of seizures of drugs, phones, and chargers have been reported several times in Sri Lanka's High-Security Velikada Jail. Last week also the Sri Lankan police captured an eagle in Colombo. During that time the police had said that drug smugglers were using eagle for supplies.
