Catch the Venus-Jupiter conjunction this weekend by these technique

Today;Astronomy buffs are in for a treat over the weekend, as Venus and Jupiter get set to share the same small piece of the night sky.

During August, the five brightest planets - Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn - have been obviously able to be seen to the naked eye. On the evening of August 27, both planets will come into view to be very close to one another.

According to NASA,“both planets will be bright and clearly visible, even without a telescope. If you’re looking to catch a glimpse of the conjunction, find a spot with a clear view of the Western horizon. The planets should be visible about 30 minutes after sunset, so don’t wait; they’ll both be below the horizon soon after”

Both planets will be noticeable to the left of the setting Sun, and somewhat elevated in the sky. In fact, with a telescope or binoculars, you may even spot some of Jupiter’s moons too.
