Kolkata: The CBI has formed a special team to trace former Kolkata Police Commissioner Rajiv Kumar in the Saradha chit fund scam case. Actually, Rajiv Kumar is repeatedly ignoring CBI summons. Along with this, the CBI is also giving pressure on many places to find Rajiv Kumar. According to sources, summons has been issued to Rajiv Kumar three times.
Even after this, Rajiv Kumar has not yet appeared. A special team has been formed to trace them. In a major setback to Rajiv Kumar, the CBI has approached the Kolkata court for a non-bailable warrant (NBW). The CBI has filed a petition before the Barasat court to issue warrants against Rajiv Kumar.
Officials have said that the CBI took this step because Rajiv Kumar ignored three summons of the agency in the last four days. Top CBI sources said that after sending a letter to the DGP of West Bengal, we also sent a letter to Rajiv Kumar's lawyer yesterday and asked him to order Rajiv Kumar to join the investigation. The agency said that he did not appear even today and now we have no option but to take tough measures against him.
