Lucknow: The case of the accident of rape victim and her lawyer during their visit to Rae Bareli was heard in a CBI court in Lucknow today. The hearing came on a CBI plea seeking remand of the accused truck driver and cleaner. During the hearing, the court remanded the accused truck driver and the cleaner to three days CBI remand as demanded by the CBI. The order was passed by the SPECIAL COURT No.4 of the CBI.

The CBI had filed a petition in the court seeking his remand to question MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar, Atul Sengar, Virendra alias Bouwa, Vineet Mishra, Shailendra, accused in the rape case. Earlier, in a hearing held in the apex court on Friday, the court had ordered that one of the five cases related to the Upanav rape case will not be transferred from Lucknow to Delhi. The stay has been imposed for up to 15 days by the Supreme Court.

During the hearing, the CBI had said in the apex court that the court had also ordered transfer of the accident case to the Delhi court in all the five cases, which led to the CBI not seeking remand of the accused in the accident case from the lower court of UP.
