New Delhi: Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) officials or staff will no longer be seen wearing jeans, T-shirts and sports shoes. New Director, Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Subodh Kumar Jaiswal has fixed the dress code for officers or staff while on duty as soon as he takes over. The new director of the CBI has ordered that every officer/employee of the agency will wear proper formal attire in the office. He said jeans, T-shirts and sports shoes will not run in the office.
Male officers have been ordered to come to the office wearing formal shirts and pants and formal shoes. Moreover, they will have to come to the office with proper shaving. On the other hand, women officers or staff have been instructed to wear only sarees, suits and formal shirts while on duty. The directions were given in an order issued by Deputy Director (Administration) Anup T Mathew with the approval of CBI Director Subodh Kumar Jaiswal.
The order clearly says that wearing jeans, T-shirts, sports shoes, slippers is not allowed in the office. The order has asked heads of all branches of CBI across the country to ensure that these guidelines are strictly followed.
