Srinagar: There are big revelations about Jammu and Kashmir's 25 thousand crore land scam. In this scam, former CM and National Conference Chief Farooq Abdullah and many of his colleagues are named. According to the investigation conducted by the UT Administration and the CBI so far on the order of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court, Abdullah bought three kanals of land from various people in Sanjwan area of Jammu division in 1998, but along with seven kanals of surrounding forest land Also occupied and built the house.

According to the CBI's investigation, Abdullah then illegally allotted land for his sister Suraiya Mattoo and his party in Jammu and Srinagar by resorting to the Special Illumination Act. Apart from this, people close to him also illegally occupied forest and government land in Sanjwan area. This specifically includes the name of NC leader Syed Ali Akhun.

The seven Kanal lands which were illegally occupied by former Jammu and Kashmir CM Farooq Abdullah are worth about ten crores rupees. The total amount of thirty kanals of land illegally seized by different people in this area is worth about 40 crores.
