New Delhi: According to recently received information, the CBI told the Supreme Court on Wednesday, January 8, 2020, that no evidence of the murder of children has been found in the Muzaffarpur shelter home. At the same time, it has been learned that the investigating agency told the top court that two skeletons were recovered but later forensic investigation revealed that these skeletons belonged to a woman and a man.

According to information received from sources, a bench headed by this Chief Justice SA Bobde approved the status report of the CBI and allowed two officers to be relieved from the investigation team. It is being said that Attorney General KK Venugopal, appearing on behalf of the investigating agency, said that allegations of rape and sexual assault of children were investigated and charge sheets were filed in the respective courts.

Venugopal said that the children who were accused of murder were later found alive. He said that the CBI investigated the cases of 17 shelter homes in Bihar and filed charge sheets in 13 of these, while four cases were initially investigated and the investigation was later closed due to lack of evidence.
