Lucknow: The CBI, which is investigating the road accident along with the rape victim and her lawyer, has intensified its investigation. The CBI had questioned MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar, accused in the up-and-run rape case, in Sitapur jail on Saturday. A team had also reached Makhi village to investigate. The CBI will today answer a question from truck owner Devendra Kishore in the up-and-coming accident case.

On Saturday, the Lucknow-based CBI Special Court sent the investigating agency on a three-day remand of the truck driver and the clinner. The CBI will also interrogate them. It may be mentioned that the Supreme Court has transferred 4 cases related to the rape of them from Lucknow to Delhi. However, the CBI has banned the transfer of the up-and-a-bat accident case. The CBI has been given a maximum of 15 days to investigate the case.

The CBI has set up a 20-member special team to probe the incident in Rae Bareli. The team comprises SP, ASP, CO, Inspector and Sub-Inspector. A team of six experts from the Central Forensic Science Lab along with some officials from the CBI reached Lucknow on Friday and then went to Rae Bareli to investigate the incident closely.
