New Delhi: On Saturday, Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE 12th English paper was conducted today across the country and abroad. As many as 12.87 lakh students have registered for the Class 12 board examination 2019. The examination concluded at 1:30 pm and the first feedback of experts and students has been recorded. While overall the paper was touted as well balanced by the experts, some students have reported concerns over the choice in the questions from the novel. Many teachers have also been asked to provide feedback to the board regarding the same.

However, CBSE has a provision where in the teachers are required to provide a feedback to the board regarding the question paper. Any concerns over the questions are then recorded and accordingly checked by the board. Soon after the paper started, the dilemma over the choice in the novel question started to do rounds. Many students reportedly spoke with the teacher on duty and expressed concern over the choice. Messages have also been exchanged however there is no confirmation as yet. However, some teachers have expressed that they might write to the board in regards the choice and ask students be given grace marks in lieu of.

It is worth mentioning here that as for the remaining paper, the overall feedback was a nice and well thought out paper. Students were particularly happy with the writing section which has enough choices for every student. The reading section was also said to be easy and well balanced. Teachers are otherwise content with the paper. It was from the syllabus and well balanced with enough choice for all kinds of aptitude. The paper was also considered as scoring by many. As for the update on grace marks, teachers said that it was too soon but students may get grace marks. The next examination is on March 5 for Physics.
