The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE - Central Board Secondary Education) has released a new marking scheme for the board examinations to be held in the academic session 2020. In this, the board has told that in order to pass in class 10th and 12th, students should score how many marks in which examinations.

For this, a circular has been issued by the board, which states that most subjects have areas of two to three assessments - Theory, Practical, Project / Internal Assessment. The highest marks in all of these are for the Theory Examination.

Passing Criteria for 12th: The board has stated in its circular that it is compulsory for students to get 33-33% marks in theory and practical / project / internal examinations to pass the 12th class board examination. That is, not only theory, it is necessary for the board to bring 33 percent of the total marks in all the examinations for a subject. Apart from this, it is also necessary to bring 33 percent marks in each subject in total.

Passing Criteria for 10th: While the board has said that for passing class 10th, students have to have a total of 33% marks in each subject as well as separate 33-33% marks in theory, practical/internal assessment. Theory exams for both the classes where CBSE will conduct itself. At the same time, practical / project / internal assessments will be conducted by schools. In this too, the examiner will be out of school for projects and practicals. While internal assessment will be taken entirely by the school.
