After criticising the CBSE's decision, the CBSE issued a fresh order giving them relief. The Board said that SC and ST students in Delhi will pay only 50 rupees as before and the rest will be given by the Delhi government. The CBSE attributed the fee hike to the loss in conducting board examinations for classes 10th and 12th.
