CBSE affiliated schools 10th class girl students who have the examination in the year 2020 are eligible for this scholarship scheme. The last day to apply online is online application is 10th December 2020 and a hard copy of the application form (renewal only) has to be submitted on or before 28th December 2020.

CBSE said in a statement ?The scheme is aimed to recognize the efforts of the parents in promoting education among girls and to provide encouragement to meritorious students."

The scheme applies to all single girl students of CBSE board exams of Class 10th who secured at least 60% marks and are studying Classes 11 and 12 in a school affiliated with CBSE whose tuition fee is not more than Rs. 1,500 per month during the academic year are eligible to apply. The single girl child scholarship will be awarded to Indian nationals only.

CBSE said, ?The last date for submission of online applications is 10th December 2020 and a hard copy of the application form (renewal only) has to be submitted on or before 28th December 2020. Hard copies received after the last date shall not be entertained.? 

Steps to apply for the scholarship:

Candidates will be required with their class 10th roll number and date of birth as login credentials. 

1: Visit the official site http://cbse.nic.in

2: Under the notification section, click on which reads, ?SINGLE GIRL CHILD SCHOLARSHIP X-2020 REG? dated November 13

3: Click on the application link

4: A new tab will open. Select the type fresh or renewal

5: Read the instructions carefully and then click on SGC-X fresh application or renewal

6: Fill the application form, upload documents and submit

7: Take a printout of the application form
