New Delhi: In many areas of the capital Delhi, residents are living in fear due to the presence of stray dogs. Incidents of dog bites have been reported in Yadav Enclave of the Vikaspuri Assembly constituency, where several children and an elderly woman were bitten by dogs. Despite multiple complaints from locals, no action has been taken by the administration, leading to an environment of fear, especially for children.

CCTV footage captured an incident where an elderly woman was bitten by a dog. In the video, the woman is seen walking down the street when a dog approaches from behind, biting her leg and causing her to fall. Another dog then bites her hand. Onlookers rushed to her aid, and she was taken to DDU Hospital in a bloody condition, where she received rabies injections. This incident occurred on a Monday afternoon, and on the same day, at the same location, the same dogs reportedly bit another girl, an event also recorded on CCTV.

Local residents reveal that numerous dogs in the vicinity pose a threat to people passing by every day. Despite repeated complaints, neither the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) nor the local councilor has taken any action to address the issue. A woman from the area expressed concern about her children having been injected with rabies shots multiple times due to the frequent dog attacks.
