Kolkata: On the occasion of Dussehra, the country's Defense Minister Rajnath Singh reached Darjeeling in West Bengal today. There he participated in 'Shastra Pujan' near the Line of Actual Control (LAC) and then attacked China. Rajnath Singh said clearly that he has full faith in the Indian Army that no one inch of land will be able to be occupied by him. He also said that India wants peace on the border.

He said, "India wants China to end the problem on the border and peace remains. I am sure that the army will not let anyone take even an inch of our land. Today I am very happy to dedicate the partially alternate route of National Highway 310 to the people of Sikkim. NH-310 connecting Gangtok to 'Nathu La' is the lifeline of people living in the border areas of East Sikkim. By building 19.35 km long Vaiklapik NH. 310, BRO has fulfilled the aspirations of the residents and army of East Sikkim.

Rajnath Singh further said, "I also want to tell you that the double lane upgrade of most of the border roads of Sikkim is being done by the BRO. Out of this, 65 km of road construction work is in progress in East Sikkim, and work is going on under the 55 km road construction plan."
