Jammu: After a year of restructuring of Jammu and Kashmir, the Union Home Department has decided to remove 100 companies of paramilitary forces from the state. The department has taken this decision after reviewing the security situation in the state. The process of withdrawal of these companies will be started in the next 2-3 days. It is worth noting that this decision has been taken at a time when tensions with China are increasing in East Ladakh. Not only this, former Union Minister Manoj Sinha has been made the Lt. Governor of this Union Territory.

Maximum 40 companies of CRPF: According to the information received, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has the highest number of companies sent back from Jammu and Kashmir as directed by the Home Department. 20 companies of Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CRPF) and Armed Security Force (SSB) are to be sent back. The concerned officials have said that about 10 thousand jawans are to be removed from here and posted in the northeastern states and Naxalite affected areas. 2 to 3 companies of CRPF are to be deployed in Gujarat. In a message sent to the Advisor, Secretariat and Director General of Police of Jammu and Kashmir, the Union Home Department has issued a notice of the decision.

Now only 208 additional companies will remain: It has been learned that on 5 August 2019, Modi government abolished Article 370 and Article 35A from Jammu and Kashmir. At that time 400 additional companies were deployed. Before that in early December 2019, 20 companies of Central Paramilitary forces have been recalled. In the last week of December, 72 companies have been removed. Now, after the decision to remove 100 companies, only 208 additional companies will remain. According to officials, usually more than four hundred companies of paramilitary forces will always be deployed to maintain the internal security system in the state. A company consists of 100 soldiers. In this way, the deployment of 40-50 thousand soldiers is always in the state. Now after improving the situation, the security forces can reduce.
