New Delhi: The central government has taken an important decision to protect the environment. The Modi government at the Centre has decided to completely rein in single-use plastic from July 1. In fact, on Tuesday, the central government announced that control rooms will be set up at the national and state level to ban single-use plastic. A special team will be formed to curb the illegal manufacture, import, storage, distribution and sale of single-use plastic.
This has been stated in a statement issued by the Environment Ministry. The Environment Ministry said that states have been told that single-use plastic will not be sent from one state to another. The statement said, "Single-use plastic has a very bad effect on the environment. Marine nature is also affected by it. The increasing pollution due to single-use plastic remains a challenge not only for India but also for many countries.''
Let us know that, the single-use plastic products that the central government has decided to ban include plastic sticks, balloon plastic sticks, plastic flags, candy sticks, ice cream sticks, decoration thermocol, plastic plates, cups, glasses, transparent plastic-wrapped on sweet cans, plastic spoons, knives, straws, Trays, invitation cards, cigarette packets, PVC banners of less than 100 microns etc.
