New Delhi: The Union government has set up a separate ministry on Tuesday in a major decision a day before the Expansion and Reshuffle of the Modi Cabinet. It has been named 'Ministry of Cooperation.' The Modi government has created this new ministry to realize the dream of 'co-operation to prosperity.' Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had announced in the Budget a separate Cooperative Ministry in the Budget. In such a situation, the Government has fulfilled its promise on this.

The new Ministry will provide a separate administrative, legal, and policy framework to strengthen the cooperative movement in the country. It will help the cooperatives to reach the ground level. Through this, co-operative societies will be able to connect deeply with the people. The model of cooperative-based economic development in the country is very relevant. Every member in this model works with a sense of responsibility. The Ministry will simplify the procedures for 'Ease of Doing Business' for cooperatives. At the same time, multi-state will work to enable the development of co-operatives (MSCS).

The Union Government has shown its deep commitment to the Community Based Developmental Partnership. The formation of a separate Cooperative Ministry was part of the Budget Announcement made by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.
