Modi govt increased family pension of late central govt employees and pensioners

New Delhi: Handicapped children of differently-abled central employees and pensioners will now be given more 'family pensions' than ever before. Union Minister Jitendra Singh has recently informed about the same. According to Singh, work in this regard is being done after pm in Narendra Modi's special initiative. PM Modi has said that this needs to be done for the care and pride of these children.

Union Minister Jitendra Singh further said, "This decision will provide better economic status for persons with disabilities who need more medical care and financial assistance. Singh said the government is of the view that income norms for eligibility of family pension applicable in case of other family members cannot be applicable in case of differently-abled children or siblings.'’

As per the information furnished by Union Minister Jitendra Singh, the Central Government reviewed the income norms relating to family pension in the case of handicapped children or siblings and it was also noticed that in the case of handicapped child or siblings, the norms of income related to pension will be in line with the eligible amount of family pension in their case.
