New Delhi: Union Law Minister and veteran Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Ravi Shankar Prasad on Monday questioned the seriousness of West Bengal CM and Trinamool Congress (TMC) supremo Mamata Banerjee for controlling the Coronavirus. At the same time, Ravi Shankar has asked her how many meetings pm Narendra Modi has called for the epidemic.

In a press conference, the Union Minister said, "We BJP people will abide by every decision taken by the Election Commission on elections in Bengal in view of corona epidemic. The Commission has constitutional obligations". On a question on TMC's demand for the rest of Bengal elections to be held in one phase, the Union Minister said Ms. Banerjee did not attend pm Modi's last meeting and was busy with the elections. It may be recalled that after the fifth phase of polling is over on April 17, voting for the remaining 114 seats is now scheduled for April 22, 26, and 29.

In West Bengal, 180 seats have gone to the polls. Prasad said the BJP will abide by all decisions taken by the Election Commission on Bengal elections. The Commission has constitutional obligations.
