The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways said on August 28 that it has established a new registration mark for new cars, the Bharat series, to promote seamless vehicle transfers. The Transport Ministry has declared that if the owner moves from one state to another, a vehicle with the BH mark will not require a new registration mark.

The facility will be accessible to Defence employees on a voluntary basis, according to the ministry. Employees of the federal and state governments, as well as federal and state public utilities, will be allowed to use this service. Private sector firms having offices in four or more states or union territories are also included.

Step 1: To issue a new registration mark in another state, the car owners must first obtain a "No Objection Certificate" from the Parent State.
Step 2: A new registration mark will be given if the pro-rata road tax in the new state is paid.
Step 3: In the parent state, you must make an application for a refund of the road tax. Obtaining a reimbursement from the parent state is a time-consuming procedure.

Format of BH-series Registration Mark is YY BH #### XX

YY is for Year of First Registration, BH represents for Bharat Series Code, and ####- stands for a number between 0000 and 9999 (randomized). These are alphabets (AA to ZZ) for XX. If the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways implements this program, personal cars would be able to roam freely throughout Indian states and union territories. Employees in the public and private sectors are equally subject to station relocation. It was also discovered that from the fourteenth year, the motor vehicle tax will be charged yearly. The cost will be half of the total amount charged for that car previously.
