Kolkata: The Central government has raised the security level of BJP MP from West Bengal Arjun Singh to Z category in view of the recent incidents of bomb pelting at his house. Yes, this has been reported by the authorities last Wednesday. In fact, bombs were thrown recently at the residence of 59-year-old Singh, a Lok Sabha member from Barrackpore seat in West Bengal, in North 24 Parganas district.

On Wednesday, officials said that Arjun Singh had got 'Y Plus' category security but it has been increased to the 'Z' category in view of the recent violent incidents against him and his family members. Their security will be handled by armed commandos of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). Let us also tell you that some miscreants had thrown bombs at Arjun Singh's house in the past. Just a few days later, such explosions broke out outside his house last Tuesday morning.

After seeing all this, the BJP leader alleged that the ruling Trinamool Congress was trying to kill him. In such a situation, their security has now been beefed up. Under the information received, under the 'Z' category security, the MP will have about six to seven commandos during his visit to the state and additional troops will provide security at his house. Earlier, they were accompanied by only two security personnel.
