CERT-In Issues Warning on Microsoft Edge Vulnerabilities

Microsoft Edge users should be cautious as the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) has issued a warning regarding vulnerabilities in the browser. These vulnerabilities could allow cybercriminals to access sensitive information, bypass security restrictions, and cause denial-of-service (DoS) conditions on targeted systems. "Multiple vulnerabilities have been reported in Microsoft Edge (Chromium-based), which could allow a remote attacker to cause denial of service, remote code execution, sensitive information disclosure, and security restriction bypass on the targeted system," stated the advisory from CERT-In.

meanwhile, Microsoft has recently announced the launch of a new premium tier of its artificial intelligence model, called Microsoft Copilot Pro. This latest offering is now available globally in 222 countries, including India, and is targeted towards individuals and small to medium-sized organizations.

Earlier this month, CERT-In warned users about several vulnerabilities in Microsoft products, including Exchange Server, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Developer Tools, Azure, Browser, System Centre, and Microsoft Dynamics. The alert noted that attackers could exploit these vulnerabilities to access confidential information, bypass security measures, and launch denial-of-service attacks on the affected system.
