Thekua is a delicious, crispy and crunchy sweet dish. Which is made as a 'Prasad' on Chhath, the popular festival of Bihar. This is an easy snack recipe that you can make any time at home. This is a dry sweet snack. Let's know the recipe.

necessary ingredients :

500 grams wheat flour
2 tsp ghee
2 cups refined oil
1 cup water
300 grams of sugar
1 tsp green cardamom
½ cup grated coconut
1 tsp fennel

Preparation method:

To make this delicious Bihari recipe, put a deep pan on medium flame and boil 2 cups of water. When the water boils, add sugar to it and keep stirring it slowly until it melts and disappears. When the sugar melts, turn off the burner and remove the pan. Now add ghee in this syrup and mix while stirring and leave it to cool. Now put the grated coconut, fennel and cardamom powder in a big plate with the flour and mix well, then add the sugar syrup in between, and knead the dough. Keep in mind that the dough should not be too soft but should be slightly stiff. When the dough is kneaded, make small balls from it. Press these hands to make these balls flat. If you want to make it attractive to look, then you can also make a design on it. Now keep the pan on high heat and heat oil in it. When the oil gets hot, add the flat flour thekua and deep fry till it becomes golden brown. Reduce the heat while frying so that the thekua is fully cooked from inside also. Likewise fry all the thekoks. The specified thekua is ready, cool it and keep it in an airtight container. You can store it for 3-4 weeks.
