New Delhi: The Modi government minister was again absent in the Upper House of Parliament on Monday, due to which he had to face the displeasure of Chairman M. Venkaiah Naidu. Naidu had advised members in the House a few days ago about the absence of the House, but once again the Minister was absent. Venkaiah said that it is not acceptable for ministers to be absent from the Rajya Sabha after giving notice of the subject.

Naidu cautioned the ministers, "The Minister is giving the notice to put their documents on the floor of the House and even then it is not present, which is unacceptable." He said that the Minister should meet the Chairman and explain why he did not remain present in the House even after giving notice. The Chairman said that the ministers have every right that they can postpone the subject for which they have given notice, but it is not good to continue without moving the process forward.
