In the fight against Coronavirus, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has locked the entire country. Doordarshan has decided to use its trump equations for TRP. Doordarshan is continuously bringing back those shows which have created history in the case of TRP. Because new shows are not coming on TV, the audience is once again bringing back old memories and watching these shows. After many shows like Ramayana, Mahabharata, Buniyaad and Mowgli, now it is the turn of Chanakya. Directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi, the show was aired between 1991 and 1992 on Doordarshan.

Dr. Chandraprakash played the role of Chanakya in the show. This show, based on the policies and teachings of Chanakya, a great knowledge of economics and diplomacy, was well liked, but Doordarshan rejected the show at first sight. In a conversation with a media reporter, Chandraprakash opened the old layers by remembering that time. According to the report, he said, "I took this idea to him in 1980 but when I told him this project, his answer was that the show does not fit into the channel's working scheme but he liked my writing skills."

He further said, "I was surprised with this because he was airing a show like Tipu-Sultan. Then what could be a problem in a show like Chanakya. I did not accept his refusal and did a lot of research about it. "Chandraprakash told that he had been writing a 20-page letter to him for a very long time. Keeping in mind his strong facts, the show eventually got the channel. It was decided to bring it on. A lot of people wanted to make a show on Chanakya and were sending their proposal to the channel. I was a newcomer but despite this 1986-19 In 87 my proposal was accepted and in 1988 I made my first pilot shot."
