ED attaches assets worth Rs 78 crore shares belonging to ex-ICICI Bank CEO Chanda Kochhar

Chanda Kochhar, former CEO and MD of ICICI Bank, and her family are seen taking major action by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) attaching her Mumbai-based flat and some assets of her husband Deepak Kochhar's company. The value of the total assets seized is said to be Rs 78 crore. Apart from this, this action has been taken in connection with a loan case of Rs 3,250 crore received by Videocon from ICICI Bank in 2012. 

Chanda Kochhar was born on 17 November 1961 in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Chanda Kochhar's full name is Chanda Deepak Kochhar. He did his early education from Jaipur, after which he graduated in Arts from Jai Hind College, Mumbai. After completing his bachelor's degree in 1982, she completed a Master in Management from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Business Studies, Mumbai. She then made his debut as a management trainee at ICICI Bank, with ICICI Bank being credited with raising funds to new dimensions of success. The same Chanda Kochhar is honored with Padma Vibhushan. Her husband's name is Deepak Kochhar, they have two children - Arjun and Aarti. Chanda Kochhar has been awarded the Best in Retail Banking Award. He has been awarded by Asian Banker. Chanda Kochhar has been included in the Forbes list.

For information, let us tell you that this whole scam is being told of Rs 1875 crore. In this case, the ED also questioned Chanda and her husband Deepak Kochhar in May 2019 and went for him. According to reports, the Kochhar couple currently has movable and immovable assets worth more than Rs 900 crore.
