Chandigarh: Guinness World Record has been set for the largest human image of the national flag tricolour by waving at the Sector 16 Stadium in Chandigarh, adjacent to the national capital Delhi. Earlier this record was recorded in the name of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), which has now been broken. A crowd of 5,885 people gathered to achieve this achievement. Union Minister Meenakshi Lekhi was also present on the occasion. This achievement has been achieved by Chandigarh University and NID Foundation.

 

GWR official adjudicator Swapnil Dangarikar has said that the record is titled 'The largest human image of the waving national flag'. One such record was made in the UAE years ago. Today that record has been broken. Thanks for the participation of 5885 people. Union Minister Meenakshi Lekhi said, "I would like to congratulate Chandigarh University and NID Foundation. It is a matter of pride for all of us. The mind of every person was filled with the same feeling that as long as we are alive, we will dedicate ourselves to our duty in the honour, and pride of the tricolour.''

Let us know that on the occasion of the completion of 75 years of independence, the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign is being run in the country. From the government to the common people, they are actively participating in this campaign. Giving information in this regard, Chief Patron of NID Foundation and Chancellor of Chandigarh University S Satnam Singh Sandhu had said that more than 10 thousand people will gather on the spot. More than 8650 students of Chandigarh University and other educational institutions, as well as volunteers of NID Foundation, will try to create a Guinness World Record with an aim to strengthen the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaign.
