Today is an important day for Navjot Singh Sidhu's political career who has resigned from the cabinet of Punjab fire brand leader and Captain Amarinder Singh.  Singh will decide on his resignation today. Amarinder Singh, however, is reportedly not in a mood to give relief to Sidhu in any way. Amarinder's decision on Sidhu is likely to have an impact on his talks with national leaders in Delhi. The Captain's decision will also reflect the Congress' stand towards Sidhu. But it will be a matter of view whether the decision is in their favour or not.

On Sunday, Sidhu disclosed his resignation through a tweet. He had said that he has resigned from the Punjab Cabinet on June 10. Later, when questioned why Sidhu did not send Captain Amarinder Singh to him, he also resigned to the Chief Minister on Monday. The Captain was in Delhi from Monday and will return to Chandigarh today.

In his statement, Captain Amarinder Singh said in Delhi on Tuesday that he will decide on Wednesday after reading Sidhu's letter of resignation. "I will decide on his resignation tomorrow, after returning to Chandigarh, I have to see the resignation before deciding what Sidhu has written in it," Congress sources say, adding that Captain Sidhu is not in a mood to give any relief this time. That could adversely affect Sidhu's political career.
