Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Chief N Chandrababu Naidu met Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar on Sunday. Naidu is also slated to meeting Congress leader Sonia Gandhi later during the day. Earlier, on Saturday, Naidu met Bahujan Samaj Party supremo Mayawati and Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Akhilesh Yadav.
After the meeting, they talked to the reporters here and said that the two 'assessed' the election scenario. As reported earlier, Sonia Gandhi has called for a meeting of opposition leaders on May 23 to discuss the possibilities of alliances to counter the Bhartiya Janta Party in the polls.
The Telugu Desam Party supremo has held several rounds of discussion with various opposition leaders, including TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee, AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal and CPI (M) general secretary Sitaram Yechury.
