On the other hand, Yamunotri Temple Committee Secretary Kriteshwar Uniyal said that due to the lunar eclipse, the gates of the Yamunotri temple will be closed at 4.37 p.m. on July 16, which will be reopened at 5 am the next day.

On the other hand, Gangotri Temple Committee Chairman Suresh Semwal said that the lunar eclipse is taking place on July 16. The gates of the temple will open at 4 am on this day as usual. The gates of the temple will be closed at 4.10 p.m. after offering Aarti at 3.45 pm and Bhoga at 4.00 pm. The temple gates will be opened the next day at 5 am on 17th July.

Other temples in the district will also remain closed during the lunar eclipse period to offer darshan and puja. On the other hand, the gates of Kedarnath Dham will be closed at 4 pm due to the eclipse on July 16.
