Dehradun: Uttarakhand Tourism Development Council (UTDC) today, March 11, said that it would issue tokens for darshan during the Chardham Yatra.

"The four-hour tokens will be distributed in one-hour slots. Prior Till now , during the Chardham Yatra, pilgrims had to wait in huge lines to receive a glimpse "The statement was made. The tokens would reportedly be distributed at the temple entrances in Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri Dham.

One of the most well-known Hindu pilgrimages in India is the Chardham Yatra, which is held in Uttarakhand. Four holy places located in the Himalayas, Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri, are visited during this pilgrimage.

The high-altitude shrines are closed for about six months each year, starting in the spring (April or May) and ending as winter approaches (October or November).

The Chardham Yatra will commence on April 22 with the opening of the Yamunotri and Gangotri temples. While Badrinath and Kedarnath will open on April 25 and 27, respectively.

Customarily,  Every year lakhs of pilgrims visit the shrines of Gangotri, Yamunotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath in Uttarakhand. This year 2023, the Char Dham Yatra will commence on the auspicious day of Akshay Tritiya on April 22, 2023. Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham will open on April 22, 2023. The doors of Badrinath and Kedarnath are yet to be announced. But it usually is on April 26-27.   There is an estimate that over 50 lakh devotees will visit Char Dham Yatra places in Uttarakhand. The roads and transport system for Char Dham Yatra temples, Haridwar, Rishikesh, and other places in Uttarakhand is being improved.

The Uttarakhand Government is making elaborate plans and efforts to make Char Dham Yatra 2023 better than all the previous yatras. The new Queue Management System has introduced new tokens that are all set to make darshan a lot easier for devotees.
