Bollywood veteran actor Anil Kapoor had a working birthday on December 24 as he was shooting for Race 3 in the city. He will be sharing the screen space with Salman Khan after many years in the third instalment of Race franchise. Today, Anil shared a candid picture clicked on his birthday where he is seen feeding cake to Salman. Earlier there were reports that in Race 3, Anil will be playing the role of Salman's father. When we got in touch with the veteran actor he denied the rumours and said, "I wish I was, that’s not true. But as an actor, I am even open to playing Amitabh Bachchan saab’s father or Ranveer Singh’s brother."

Talking about Anil, a source earlier said to a leading daily, "Anil had played Robert D’Costa aka RD, a private detective, who acts stupid but is very sharp, resourceful and quick. Anil’s character was liked immensely by the audience. The first movie had Sameera Reddy playing his assistant, while the second film saw Ameesha Patel in the role."

The source further said, "If Anil comes on board, he will be the only cast member to be a part of all three films of the Race series. Also, this will be the actor’s first film with choreographer-turned-director Remo."
