But somewhere in India, the leopard species is almost extinct, so now the Government has decided to resettle them in the country. In fact, the process is going to start from the coming month of November. The leopards are said to be brought from South Africa and settled at Kuno National Park in Sheopur district of Madhya Pradesh. You must be aware that the talk of bringing leopards from Africa has been going on for many years, and this time if everything goes well, the sound of leopards will be heard once again.
The Government of India is said to have been preparing to bring them from Africa for nearly 10 years. If you remember, the spotted leopard species was last seen in korea village of Madhya Pradesh in 1947. Yes, in fact, it was when Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh were not divided. In today's time, the Korean region is located in the State of Chhattisgarh and not madhya pradesh. In 1952, these spotted leopards were included in the category of extinct animals in the country. Let us also tell you that the Forest Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Vijay Shah, has given this information. "10 spotted leopards will be brought from South Africa to Madhya Pradesh and will be settled in Kuno National Park.''
At the same time, he also said that these ten leopards will have five male leopards while five will be females. The Kuno National Park is spread over a radius of 750 square kilometres. Recently, the Forest Minister has issued a statement stating that 14 crore was allocated by the Government in the financial year 2021-22 for settlement of leopards in the predesh.
