Abu Dhabi:  The final of the 14th season of IPL will be played between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in Dubai on Friday. CSK captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni faces the challenge of world champion captain Eoin Morgan. Cricket fans all over the world will be eyeing the match on Dussehra day. The title clash will begin at 7:30 pm Indian time. Considering the figures, Chennai has reached the final for the 9th time in 12 seasons. In the meantime, in season 2 they were out of the league.

Chennai has won IPL three times, while five times they lost the final. On the other hand, KKR has won both titles under Gautam Gambhir. KKR last won the title in 2012, when they achieved a target of 191 runs with two balls to spare against Chennai. CSK became the first team to be eliminated from the league stage last year to make a memorable comeback to reach the final this time. Dhoni's chances of winning the fourth title for the team depend on how they face KKR spin trio Varun Chakraborty, Shakib Al Hasan and Sunil Narine. All three have tallied per over at an average of less than 7 in this IPL, as well as taken wickets.

On the other hand, 24 matches have been played between 2008-2021 so far. Chennai won 16, while KKR won 8 matches. On the other hand, even if we talk about the last 5 matches, Chennai's tread is heavy. They have beaten Kolkata 4 times. Today's match is likely to be very interesting.

CSK Probable XI: Ruturaj Gaikwad, Faf du Plessis, Robin Uthappa, Moeen Ali, Ambati Rayudu, MS Dhoni (c&wk), Ravindra Jadeja, Dwayne Bravo, Shardul Thakur, Deepak Chahar, Josh Hazlewood.

KKR Probable XI: Shubman Gill, Venkatesh Iyer, Nitish Rana, Rahul Tripathi, Eoin Morgan (c), Dinesh Karthik (wk), Shakib Al Hasan/Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Lockie Ferguson, Shivam Mavi, Varun Chakravarthy.
