Chennai Super Kings pay tribute to Albie Morkel on his retirement

Albie Morkel announced his retirement from all forms of cricket on Wednesday. South African all-rounder has a huge fan following in all over the world. He also played for  Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League.

After Morkel’s announcement from all form of cricket, Chennai Super Kings paid tribute to their former player with a special tweet. The Tweet reads, "#Yellove Thanks! Your contributions with the last over smashes and the early wickets will All-Be Missed! #Endrum28 #WhistlePodu.”

Morkel played total 92 matches for Chennai Super Kings in the IPL and Champions League T20 combined and picked up 91 wickets. He also performed brilliantly with his bat and scored 909 runs for the franchise including two fifties. Morkel played a key role in CSK's title-winning campaign in 2011 and also is the franchise's third highest wicket-taker with 91 scalps to his name.

Albie Morkel made his debut for South Africa in February 2004 after impressing in the domestic circuit. He l had a highly successful T20 career plying his trade in leagues all around the world. He played a total of 318 T20 games scoring 4247 runs and picking up 247 wickets.
