New Delhi: In the Indian Premier League (IPL 2022), both Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians (MI) are in a bad shape in the points table. Both are ranked ninth and tenth respectively. After suffering six consecutive defeats, the Mumbai Indians team had come out in front of CSK on Thursday in search of the first win, but Dhoni did not allow this to happen. Chennai needed 16 runs in the last four balls and the world's best finisher Mahendra Singh Dhoni was on strike.
Dhoni did what he is famous for, but no one expected what Ravindra Jadeja did after the victory and this is the reason why Jaddu's photo is becoming fiercely viral. When Dhoni was returning from the field after finishing the match, Captain Jadeja came and bowed down and saluted him, while Ambati Rayudu folded his hands. Dhoni returned unbeaten on 28 off 13 balls. With 6, 4, 2, 4 off the last four balls, Dhoni gave Chennai the second win of the IPL. The way Dhoni batted, it seemed as if he had returned to his old form.
Jadeja said after the match that we were a little nervous, but we knew that Dhoni is at the crease and he will come back only after finishing the match for us. Talking about the match, CSK won the toss and invited Mumbai Indians to bat first. MI scored 155 for seven in 20 overs. Tilak Verma played an unbeaten 51 runs, while Mukesh Chaudhary took three wickets for 19 runs in three overs, in response, Chennai won the match by scoring 156 runs in seven wickets in 20 overs. Dhoni returned unbeaten on 28 off 13 balls.
